Join us in our living room as we seek His presence
In this unprecedented time in our nation, we are prayerfully seeking God for wisdom on how to navigate  balance between living by Faith and providing spiritual community, and also being wise and keeping our family safe.  With the current health crisis being so  fluid and ever-changing, we want all of our church family to know we are working diligently to keep you safe and inspired.  We encourage you to check back here (or on our FaceBook page) for updates concerning our services, programs, events, etc.

**NM State Update on Stay At Home Order
Today, the governor announced that the stay at home order ( with restrictions on all mass gatheirngs) has been extended to May 15, followed by a multi-phase re-oening of our state.  She also mentioned that ban on mass gatherings may not be lifted for quite some time... although she didn't mention church services directly.
We are continuing to expand our ability to do ministry "digitall", and while we would much prefer to see your smiling faces in our church living room, we are truly grateful that God is providing creative ways to be His hand extended.

***Service Updates and Office Hours
Due to current guidelines encouraged by Washington, and to help our staff to care for their children who are out of school, our offices will be closed on weekdays for the next 3 weeks.

ALSO... for the next 3 weeks, our Family Night service on Wednesday will be suspended as well. OUR SUNDAY SERVICE IS STILL BEING HELD AS USUAL @ 10AM.... the church is still moving forward, I get to do a baby dedication Sunday! In the face of darkness... our light continues to SHINE!

If you need to reach us, you may call the church office and leave a message and we will be checking it daily.  You can also reach Pastor Brad at his cell number printed in the church bulletin

***IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM PASTOR BRAD COATES***
After prayer, consultation, with our elder board, and other local Pastors, we here at CFA are taking this position at this time concerning our faith community and our church services.

1) At this time, we will not be cancelling our Sunday/Wednesday services. I will be communicating with our other ministries such as Celebrate Recovery, etc. on whether they will continue to meet or not.
2) We will be following the national/state government information as it develops, and if deemed appropriate we won't hesitate to change this policy as necessary.
3) Your and your families’ health is priority. So if you believe it is in your best health interest to stop participating in church events/classes at this time then use your judgment as to you and your families’ response to this situation. All we ask is if you are scheduled to serve in any capacity at the church, please notify us at least a full day in advance so we can be properly be prepared in your absence. ALSO... we encourage you if you are exhibiting signs of fever/illness, it would be prudent at thsi time to stay home and get better.
4) Health and sanitation precautions will be in place. Hand soap and sanitizer will be available in the restrooms and publick areas. This may sound silly, but needs to be said... please do not remove any of these items from the locations or from the facility. We have limited supplies and replacement supplies are not available. We will also be turning off the drinking fountains to guard against any contamination risk. We highly suggest you bring bottled water to church with you if you feel you will need drinking water.
5) We are a friendly Pentecostal church... so we do need to be aware of our actions. For the time being, we are going to follow the wisdom of Pastor Dan Boyd and FUMC... "We will encourage a non-handshake form of greeting we are calling a “Heart Thump.” When greeting someone face them squarely as possible and touch your (not their) heart area with your hand or closed fist. This gives a sign of care and love. For Star Trek fans think Romulan chest salute." Great idea Pastor Dan.
For God has not given us a Spirit of fear... but of a sound mind. Brothers and sisters, we choose not to cower in fear of the shadows, but rather kneel in shadow of our Mighty God. We will practice "sound faith" rather than "reckless faith" by being cautious, but we will not stop living by Faith.
Hope to see you Sunday!

**Celebrate Recovery Update
I have been in discussions with Brandie Bramblett and Suzy Green regarding the Monday night gathering. Due to health concerns, with key leaders we feel it is best at this time to discontinue the Monday night gathering. We will be carefully monitoring the situation, and plan to get back on track as soon as possible. We do encourage you all to be engaged in your local church (if they are still meeting) and to continue to stay in touch with any of your accountability partners. God Bless you all... be safe
